Wedding Announcement

Miss Julia Lyle Ragen and Mr. Andrew Brooks Barrett were united in Holy Matrimony on Saturday, the twenty fourth of October, two thousand and nine at half after six o'clock in the evening at Independent Presbyterian Church in Savannah, Georgia. The Reverend Terry Johnson officiated the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Michael Ragen of Savannah, Georgia. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bailey Barrett, Jr. of Savannah, Georgia. Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sister, Mrs. Posey Ragen Helton, as her matron of honor; and her sisters, Miss Virginia Grace Ragen and Miss Margaret Emily Ragen, as maids of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Melissa Christine Avants, Miss Rachel Elizabeth Bruce, Miss Ashley Nicole Clements, Miss Shannon Elizabeth Morris, Miss Laura Kate Oswald, and Miss Leighann Elizabeth Parrish. The groom chose his brother, Mr. Bert Bailey Barrett III, as his best man. The groomsmen were Mr. Bert Bailey Barrett, Jr., Mr. Thomas Randolph Bazemore, Jr., Mr. William Parker Echols, Mr. Jason Ashley Helton, Mr. Jeremy Neal Mitchler, Mr. Andrew Coleman Myers, Mr. Andrew Carter Sauers, and Mr. Jackson Hurst Robertson, Jr. Honorary groomsmen was, Mr. Michael Timothy Douglas, Jr. The flower girl was Miss Lilly Gayle Helton, niece of the bride. The ring bearer was Master Grady Alan Witherington. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Savannah Yacht Club. After honeymooning in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple will reside in Savannah, Georgia.
